Carl Daniels | Director of Sports
Carl Daniels brings over 20 years of expertise in leadership development, customer-centric strategies, and organic growth to Hamilton County Sports Authority.
Currently serving as the Director of Hamilton County Sports Authority, Carl plays a pivotal role in shaping the sports landscape within the region, fostering partnerships, and driving economic development through sports-related initiatives.
With previous roles at Sports Ventures International and the Indiana Pacers, Carl has built relationships, driven market penetration, and enhanced player experiences. With a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rice University, his strategic vision and operational expertise fuel growth in professional and community settings. Daniels brings a unique blend of strategic vision, operational expertise, and a passion for fostering growth and development in both professional and community settings.
Gabe Amick | Senior Sports Development Manager
Gabe Amick focuses on attracting, supporting, and developing events and activities that drive positive impact through sport to the area. A graduate of Ball State University, Amick has over 15 years of operations and started his sports career with Indiana Sports Corporation where he was the Director of Ticketing and Promotions. There, he contributed to major events like NCAA Final Fours, Olympic Trials and Super Bowl XLVI. Later transitioning to the professional hockey team Indy Fuel, Amick played a key role in enhancing fan engagement and overall experience.
His journey continued at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, managing ticket operations for prestigious events like the Red Bull Air Race and the Indianapolis 500. With a long list of career achievements and a true passion for all things sports there is no one more committed to the experience of Hamilton County Sports Authority.
Sarah Mathews | Director of Visitor Experience
Sarah's primary focus at Hamilton County Sports Authority is contract fulfillment, onsite hospitality, and ensuring personalized service for each event. She began her career as an event intern with Indiana Sports Corp. during Super Bowl XLVI, then transitioned to a part-time role at Hamilton County Sports Authority, where she spearheaded hosting efforts for the My Marsh Classic Symetra Tour, an LPGA event. Over time, Sarah's responsibilities have expanded to include promoting the grand opening of Grand Park Sports Campus and supporting various meetings, conferences, and city-wide events in Hamilton County.
Her expertise in the tourism industry led to her current role as the leader of the Visitor Experience department, overseeing group market welcome, hospitality, and project management for partner events with Hamilton County Tourism.
Sarah Hale | Digital Marketing Coordinator
Sarah contributes to the execution of social media and digital marketing strategies for the Hamilton County Sports Authority, which includes scheduling, strategic planning, content creation, and coordinating with local sports clubs and venues. Additionally, she assists with social media efforts for Visit Hamilton County, media relations, communications, and other marketing efforts.
Jessica Heslin | Tourism Coordinator
Jessica’s role at Hamilton County Sports Authority is aiding with various administrative needs and execution of onsite hospitality. Additionally, she aids our Sales and Marketing departments at Visit Hamilton County. Jessica began her career at Visit Hamilton County back in 2022 as a Sales and Sports Coordinator intern and has moved into her current role as Tourism Coordinator.
